stump grinding

Many clients will have stump grinding done purely for the aesthetics of their outdoor living spaces, but there are other reasons why it is important to get rid of these stumps.  Shortly after a tree is removed, stumps begin a very slow decaying process. Over time a rotting stump becomes a hub for damaging pests like termites or carpenter ants. These pests can inhabit your home, surrounding outbuildings, and other trees and shrubs in the area.

The area around the stump is off-limits. When mowing your lawn, you constantly have to take the time to weave around the nuisance stump and hope that the extending roots do not damage your lawn mower. Tree stumps can also pose a major tripping hazard if in the right location of your property as well as limiting the amount of usable space.

We remove your stumps using our stump grinder, which has minimal impact on your lawn due to its smaller stature and can fit through most gate openings. We take every precaution to leave your outdoor living space as nice as we found it. Sometimes this requires the use of matting to get the machine to the stump and guards around the stump when we are grinding.
